New scripts mean new games, or there is a great chance to crash. Did you change anything in the script (editted your recipes)? if not, it's probably that you need a new game.
@Ant1989 it happened when i clicked on test play, i didn't even get to go to the main menu screen.
I just copy and pasted the script it, didn't mess with anything yet.

are you using VX Ace?

I use this script and it should work nice without tempering. Did you copy and pasted from the demo?

this is how i have my scripts catagorized. i have a different crafting script atm, but i want to use this one. i delete the one i have right now and put this one in but it keeps giving me the same error.

Wait, Venka's crafting uses more than one script. the customizable section in which you make the recipes and editing to the script and the script itself, which you can't mess with. but in your screenshot I only see one script under the ***Crafting Scripts*** section.

there is also the addons scripts which go below and add new mechanics to the crafting.

Wait, Venka's crafting uses more than one script. the customizable section in which you make the recipes and editing to the script and the script itself, which you can't mess with. but in your screenshot I only see one script under the ***Crafting Scripts*** section.
The script i have there is a different crafting script.

I figured it out. i had the scripts in the wrong order. I am now encountering a new problem. I dont want to make the crafting menu accesable,
how do i do a script call to have it open when i talk to the man in my crafting shop? and how do i get rid of the example recipes that come up?

craft (1) the number is the type of craft you want to open. The menu you see is just the recipes you know, and you can disable that in the script

@Ant1989 how do i make a recipe paper that teaches me a certain thing. Example: i have a paper that is meant for teaching the player to make bread, but when i get it, the bread is not in my cooking options. How can i make it to where when i get/use the item it puts bread on the cooking list? By the way, i don't have the cooking stuff set auto learn.

you need the addon. there you can set notetags on items to make them teach you something. of course i always put them as key adn unsuable. the recipe must be set as cooking or else it won't appear where you want. Read again the instructions and you should see where you make the recipe types to set them when you make a recipe.

@Ant1989 which addon do i need? When i put them in it won't work. What i am trying to do is get it to where when i get the recipe from a chest, it teaches the recipe. when i put it in a chest and open the chest it doesn't show up in my crafting list and my recipes.

Shop Recipes Add on. You need to create an item with a notetag saying which recipes you will learn. Install this add on script after the crafting script.

Hey friends, I'm having a problem that any recipe over recipe 14 is not registering.

I've added a new craft (Smelting) So 7 crafts all up so far, which are all working fine but none of the recipes over 14 will register. I can only get them to register if I delete other recipes down to 14 again. Help??

Just specify in the item notes which Item:id it will generate and delete the current item you want to disassemble? I can work out second script for this or try to add it on yours if I think this would be usable for my current project I am working on.

This comes with a de-compiling script, it's just handled on a different event. Unless you're talking about having it built right into the crafting menus?

Kind of was thinking for a button for disassemble items in the crafting menu yes. just have a text button for it or something and make it open your inventory where you can choose the item you want to make in to materials etc.

Edit:

Actually just realised just making an disassemble option in your own inventory might be easier and less hassel. I might try this one instead. I might make my own script for it in the up coming week(s) and release it.

Just curious on the level thing for the script. If I am level 1 in cooking and i have the stuff for a level 10 recipe, i can still craft it, how do i fix this?
