Crashing and File Corrupted

My RPG maker MV has recently started crashing, I'm not sure how to fix it, but I can handle it for now, the main problem is that (I believe this is what is) every time I shut down my computer (properly), every time I turn it on and get on RPG maker MV, it doesn't automatically open my most recent project, so I into the files and try to open the game that way and I get the message "Unable to read file Game.rpgproject". Can someone help me?

this is why you should always make backups, and never use cloudsync services (which will be worse in case of crashes with databases like the RMs or MS Access etc).

Theoretically you can copy the project file from any other project - it contains no data. However if the project is damaged, then most likely other files are damaged as well. so you might get a different file error after copying that project file - and those other files contain data that is lost on damage.

However, no matter what you do you need to find the cause of the crashes - that could be anything from simply a wrong program or virus to the first signs of harddrive failure (RPG-Makers and all other database-focused programs will be the first to react to HDD failures, but everything will fail if you don't exchange a defective HDD)
