After a long time, I finally was able tof ind a reliable way to post my ressources again! I hope I didn't miss anything, but everythinge ssential for MV and Ace should be back; including my original Retro-Set!

Nice works. I really like your edit of the ninja guy riding the giant pig. And your flesh dungeon gives me the creeps with those big teeth sticking out of the floor everywhere.

it used to be abigger collection, but most of thema re so old, that I'd be ashamed to


even consider showing them x'D


Some of the shown ressources still are quite old, but at least acceptable :3

Alright! Something more or less big is coming up soonish!


It will be a completely original pack, made by me and with a retro-feeling!


It got the basics down (together with some more things, thanks to the awesome


guys from the rpgmaker-vx-ace forums resource team, which I will link to then too!) but is going to be continued!


Means: more stuff to be actually it's own base for a retro-ish feeling in a game~


Let's see how this will go.


However!


This is not the only thing coming.


I finally want to stock up on some resources again.


It's been a while since I made some new stuff, so it's about time!


I decided to work on some of the categories I didn't have that much stuff in yet, like Faces/Portraits for example.


Maaaybe charsets too, but I gotta admit, I find it boring to make them ~_~


And then of course some Tileste/Chipset things. Mortly for XP, since the most stuff I got up atm


is quite old.


The only thing that I need is some good inspiration and some good ideas.


I got some down, but it only holds up for so long..


So if you guys have any ideas of what you want to see (be it VX or XP~) let me know!


And to make it more dramatic, I'll show you the first screen of the upcoming retro stuff ewe~

Those look like the same style as the 2k RTP, that's going to make a lot of people around here nostalgic. A whole new pixel set is exciting!

The new resource set is amazing.  I'm pouring over it right now and you've certainly given us a lot, thank you.  

It really hits home after seeing all those 2k and 2.3k resources that go unused.

So I wanna give you a really, really small update on what I'm planing to do this month.

(you will be shocked but... it's autumn and halloween stuffz! ... yeah I'm not the most innovative

but ey, you gotta do what the cool kids do, eh? )

A small suggestion/request, please feel free to ignore it. It would be awesome to have an exterior cliffing autotile. Elevation helps mapping a lot to be fancy and distribute space (and it's not really somethign low end editors like me can do).

To see them being used so well! And even very creative, by mixing them up!

I see you even got some additions yourself!

I'm not joking, but that really inspired me QwQ

And don't worry, something like cliffs and all that stuff will come eventually. I'm just slowly trying to figure out what I could, since there's so much I could do in all directions! Atm I'm going fo the whole autumn/halloween stuff, because of the seasons, but some standarts like cliffs, and such will surely come eventually too!

In fact, if you have any suggestions to what you think would be reall essential right now, feel free to tell me!

I got a lot of stuff already written down, which I will make in the future, but it never hurts to know what others think

might be a good addition!

Thanks to Indrah, I feel like making a game with these wonderful tiles too ;D 

Personally I would love to see more chairs, couches, statues, battler sprites and other dungeon decor. But really, I would be happy with anything you decide to create!

I general, I was actually wondering.

I already make Tilesets, Charsets, Icons and Music for the pack.

But would guys think to have nice, pixelatedy facesets, battlers (maybe like in old FF games? ), and stuff like this too?

In theory I even had a nice windowscreen, but the maker makes the decision-box so smudgy, wich doesn't look nice x'3

I don't vote for the facesets. Non-pixel faces would be aceptable, where there are a number of areas I would rather have exppansions of sprites or tiles.

Battlers would be cool, tho not essential. The DS battlers (zoomed x2) work well with the set alreayd, so there is an option htere).

A pixel windowskin would be cool, but again, not essential.

What I feel is the most urgent (at least from what I noticed when makign a game) is more sprite resource bits (hairs and clothes are really restrictive and I had to beg for people to help me with the sprites) and more environment tilesets:

-Cliffs

-Caves

-Sea

-Another dungeon type

There are SO many things you could do tileset wise I don't even. I can make towns reasonably well (with soem simple edits there's enough material), but I can only make two types of "dungeon", forests and temples. Having more options (at least the classic cave-castle-whatever) would be great.

As for town stuff, things I noticed missing:

-Weapons, armors, bags and bottles for item shops.

-Churchey stuff (crosses, statues, etc)

-Anything Castle-y (tat emans base ground/floor tiles too), such as thrones.

There are also some basic sprite objects it would be nice to have:

-"find indicator" shiny/glittering spots

-Switches

-More door types (stone, big gates, etc)

-Boulders/holes

-More animals/monsters/poses

Honestly there's a lot of stuff, you probably already know XD

tl;dr: I would rather you expand the tiles or sprites than set to other areas that can be filled with other resource sets.

Wow, okay thanks for the input, first of all xD

Well yeah, most of it, I already had in mind, but it shows me what I could give more priority :3

And don't get me wrong, I was just generally asking, and didn't mean that I would rather make faces now instead of working on the main problem which are chars and tiles .3

tfw, I found one of my skill ability in my game is not worth picking and had to plan to buff it. But my players seemed to use it without complaining. Now, idk if I should buff it or leave it as is.
