I would be interested in general, wanting to create a game for a long time now, but I am not certain if I would be willing to commit to an uncertainty.
At the moment I am trying to pull up a digital printing company (I could print the merchandise t-shirts and coffe mugs or advert posters for your games) and money is a rare and much needed comodity at the moment. If I took on a professional commitment, I would expect some return from it. So far you have never answered any question about possible payment, not even evasively. If however it is just a "regular amateur team like everyone else", I would only invest a simple "hoby-level" commitment to it.
Also would it be possible to use the "Studio" recourses for our own game projects or would it be only Your projects that we'd work on. I am asking because I got a concept for what might well turn out to become a series of games, if it ever takes off. But I doubt I will be able to gain all the skills needed to solo it.
That again brings the question of money. I would not want to loose my ideas or the rights to them to a company without gaining my due return for it. IF I bring it my own ideas and use company/studio resources, I know it is only natural that the rights would belong to the company and the game would carry the company's logo, but what would be in it for me? The days where the company's prosperity is the only motivation required are long gone (sadly). And having my name in the credits won't get any butter on my bread.
I am aware that this "Studio" is still merely an infant that hasn't even gotten past its planning stage yet, I am aware that it won't be able to pay anything yet, (unless you want to take on loans and mortgages and other things that would ultimately make some bank the sole owner of the name and all associated projects), but what guaranties are there? what securities? Are you trying to get RPGMaker users to come together and pull up something professional? Or are you just collecting a bunch of hobyists who'd take a play at it and hope for the best?
You say there are still some spots open. How many is some? most of them still? or is it almost fully stafed? You make it sound like I would have to hurry up and apply quickly to get a chance. And WHICH positions are still open?
I am still highly interested in joining up, but I would like to see a business plan before applying.
And really...rename or kick your Zelda game...not only for legal reasons, but also for credibility. Past experience showed that those "Fan-Games" that cary the big names of their idols turn out crap, no matter how good your Zelda game might turn out to be, nobody will get it because nobody will expect much of it.
Also it would be good to know why or how your 13 person team broke up/failed/split/ended/whatever.
