Hello! I'd like to know if it's possible to create a chapter system. Most of the time people want to be able to return to these chapters later on, but I don't need to be able to go to any of them. I just want some kind of a display at given moments? Like an animation, or I don't know what else... And also I'd like for the chapter name I'm currently in to be displayed in a save file. Does anyone have an idea on a workaround for that? I mean, animation does sound plausible, but RMMV doesn't support gifs, and besides the animation there is also that little "chapter name in the save file" problem...

P.S.: Another small question - if I create a game with 1 chapter, someone creates a savefile in it, and then I decide to make another chapter by simply expanding the game, without changing anything before. Is it possible to transfer the savefiles from the previous version?

You might want to take a look at Soul's chapter select plugin. The best way to make this accessible is probably to add it to the menu, which you can do with a plugin command.

There are also plugins that can allow you to use gifs, such as Iavra's Gif plugin, or you can just loop a show pictures event with each of your frames.

To have the chapter title appear on a save game, you can use Hime's save title plugin. As far as I know, there isn't a way to have a custom animation on the save file.

Unless you change something dramatic, I would imagine an old save file would still work. If you add/remove things like plugins, it probably won't and they will have to start again on an empty slot. Depending on how big your chapters are going to be, it might be a better idea just to create separate games that follow the story of "chapter 1" and "chapter 2" etc, or to only release your game once you've added in all that you want to.

The link for Soul's Chapter Plugin is dead, you have any backup of that plugin?

@MikuFromPH, please refrain from necro-posting in a thread. Necro-posting is posting in a thread that has not had posting activity in over 30 days. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Just so you know Soulpour has stolen code from other plugin writers and claimed it as his own. I don't know if it was the case with this particular one, but I'd advise against using it.

I suggest you make a new thread.

Closing this.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
