I'm trying to make it so characters can have "Forms" with skills that they can only use within those skills.

For example, i'm working a "Cursed Form" and then a move called "Behemoth" that can only be used while Cursed Form is activated.

How can I do that?

Thanks!

So basically it's a state and you require the state to be active in order to execute a skill.

So can't you just create the state and add the skills to the state via features?

Then when someone has that state applied, they SHOULD be able to use those skills.

I've tried that.

The only problem is that the skill, "Behemoth" is my case, I want to only be available during "Cursed Form".

By adding the skill with features, it adds the skill but I want the skill to go away once "Cursed Form" is no longer active.

works for me. You did add the skill to the features of the state, didn't you, and not the features of the actor or the class?

Cursed Form is the state. Added a feature to 'add skill Behemoth' to the state.

Played game, player doesn't have Cursed Form, player doesn't have Behemoth.

Talked to NPC which gave player Cursed Form state; player now has Behemoth.

Talked to NPC which removed Cursed Form state; player no longer has Behemoth.

I want it to work in-battle, not outside of battle. I'm sorry for not being specific about it earlier.

In or out of battle, it still works for me.

Ensure you don't have the skill added via the Actors or Classes tabs, then ensure there's nothing in your battle that actually adds the skill (via a Change Skills command). The ONLY reference to the skill should be in the features box of your state.

And you need to put in the Skill Type ALONG with the actual Skill in the State Features if it's not a type the charater already has access to.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
