RPG Maker Forums

I was planning on making a topic once I had gotten close to finishing my main project, but with this new contest going on I might as well make an intro now and enter the Indie Game Maker Contest.

I don't have many completed games, but I've done enough to make something both fun and challenging; my one dream with RPG Maker is to be able to make a game that many people can play and enjoy.

Getting pointers from the RM veterans along the way is going to be very important to me in the coming months as I try to make that dream a reality.

As for myself; I'm an amateur pixel artist, and by that I mean I only fiddle around and create low res graphics for fun. If it's square and/or pointy, I can sprite it.

Nice to meet all of you, and here's hoping we can all become buddies. Feel free to add me to Skype, (found in my profile) so long as you let me know you're from this community. Can't exactly meet the cool members of the forum without a way to chat after all.  ;)

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
