Hey everyone!

So my question is this:

I would like to be able to create on-screen buttons which I could press with the mouse in order to interact within the game. For example, instead of pressing escape to open the menu, I'd like to push an on-screen button which would do that instead. I don't plan on using a battle system within my game, so all of the buttons would only have to work on the map.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your response!

I tried out that plugin, but for some reason, the buttons aren't showing up. Also, would you happen to know if the locations of the buttons can be changed? For example, instead of hovering about the character's head, can I put them all in the corner of the screen?

In your parameters when you set up the buttons you should have 5 input values. If not, you may have an older version of the script. And yes you can change the positions. This post I made in that topic tells a bit more, and perhaps reading through some it might help you pinpoint your issues with it. If it's not the right plugin for you, that's fine. It's just the one I knew off the top of my head. But yeah, check this post and the ones around it out and see if that helps.

This appears to be an awesome plugin and I appreciate you sharing it. If you don't mind, you seem to be well familiar with the script and I was wondering if I could pick your brain about it a little more.

For some reason, the buttons still aren't showing up. I saw your posts in the thread and attempted to copy the settings you listed, verbatim. But they're still not appearing. I've attached my plugins and the manager screen. Could you perhaps take a look and let me know what I'm not getting about it, please?

Thank you again for all of your help.

Just curious, how big is your map that you have this on?

The map size is 17x13 tiles. I believe I may have encountered the solution. When I went to the GitHub page where the plugin was posted as text, I merely went ahead and copied the text and pasted it in Notepad++ then saved that as a .js file. Even with the correct name, it was not enough. Instead, I went back and had to download the entire zip file which included all of Dekita's Plugins and from there merely copied over the two files I needed to make it work. It appears to be working now.

I blame my naiveness on how RMMV plugins function for this one not working. For future reference, is there a better method than the one I listed for finding plugins and adding them to the game? Thank you well in advance mLogan for all of the help you provided. It's greatly appreciated!

Strange. I'm not certain why it wasn't working unless you somehow got an older version that did not allow for toggle capability. But no, usually you have to do as you said - copy the text into a .js file and save it into your project.

Intriguing. Well, all's well that ends well I suppose! Thank you so much for the help! That's two of my three problems down. One more and I'll be ready to really delve into this project! Thank you again!

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
