This is a good tutorial! Someone actually commissioned me a while back for a map skill plugin that works similar to the key item processing command for stuff like this.

there exist one for MV, not perfectly smooth, but working, for MZ,
its easy way to do this way, if you have loads, a plugin might be better.

but it's a nice idea.

@ShadowDragon If someone wants to make a ton of skills with different effects, then yeah I agree that a plugin might be easier for them. But I think this method works if you want to have some neat tricks for a couple of skills, or if the available plugins conflict with others being used. :)

true too, but also for people that dont want to rely on plugins and event
everything or as much as possible.

while is a power thing to do, anything is possible, but I dont know if those
scriptcalls can be used in MV either. But keep doing those amazing tutorials.

I can learn alot from them as well, as well for twisting here and there to make
it more unique and a bit more complex.

but you need a basis for everything, and while there are many methodes as
well, you need to find the one that is working for you.

For beginners, it's a great start to go on, and I love those, specially if it can
be so easy to make while others mostly think to far out of the box.

Great, i was looking for a way to do it, kinda like in the Golden Sun where skills are used for exploration out of combat. Thanks for this tutorial !

Part 1 of 24 pieces of our world map
I've finished (most of) the sprites for two of my main characters, Ashlyn and Lizzabelle. And I've already drawn actual artwork of Lizzabelle and Suki months ago. I can't wait to show some of my stuff. I'm hesitant because their outfits aren't my own original design, which must be changed before I get too serious with this.
