So, I have materials from Wednesday Freebies, DLC, etc. in a game I'm going to release. I am currently using some of them as placeholders, but plan on replacing them with original content later. Do I still have to put the stuff in the credits if it is in the game's files, but not in use? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.

   Ideally by the time you release the game you should try and remove anything that isn't actually used, I read somewhere that MV even has a plugin to purge your game of such unused assets somewhere, but google's not being kind to me right now. Technically unused is unused (as long as it truly is so) but file size can be a problem for some people. I have a nice internet now but until recently even small files were a pain to download and that's not taking into account people who's internet comes with data rates and such (cell phone plans) and what have you.


   It's just better to remove any asset that go unused before releasing a game to the public, and for safety's sake remove those artists from your credits list only after you've deleted their assets and playtested without them. (we all make mistakes, be a crap reason to have to have your game removed/blackballed because an obscure non-credited npc appeared when you'd thought you removed him, though.)

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
