Most likely that is because the script does not recognize the symbol you're using and therefore cannot provide the correct strings.

Can you give us a screenshot of the command as you use it, so we can see if you made a typo or if you have problems understanding how to use the command?

Because in the form you used in your post (complete_quest("symbol")) is wrong and cannot work.

This is what I've typed: complete_quest:)intro). I put this into a script call.

There is a reason why I asked for a screenshot instead of you retyping what you wrote (to prevent typo correction)...

However, let's skip that for now.

Your command is on a new quest unknown to us, so we can't tell if the bug is in the command or in the quest data.

Please try the command in a new project, with the original CSCA scripts only, and with an existing example quest from those scripts.

If that works, then that means that you placed wrong data in your :intro quest and you need to check there.

I've moved this thread to RGSSx Script Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Have you defined a quest called :intro? In your first post, you used quotation marks around the symbol. In the second, you didn't. Which is it? We can't help you if you give us different information each time you post. This is why Andar requested (and you should still provide) a screenshot of your event.

and where is the definition for the quest :intro? I asked several posts above that you should either try this with an existing predefined quest or show us how you have defined that quest, to make sure that the error is not in the quest definition.

Please take the time to give us full answers if you want us to take our time to help you.

Because that screenshot basically proofs that the problem is not in the command to complete the quest, but somewhere in your definition for that quest.

So here is where I've defined it.csca.png I don't see what I may have done wrong, but you may be able to spot it.

That part looks correct, but you didn't show the lines where the DESCRIPTION is defined (several line above your part), can you check there as well? Because most probably that DESCRIPTION element is what is displayed in the toast window...

Is it just my imagination or are you missing a ] from the end of the text for DESCRIPTION[1]?  Wouldn't this make it that everything that follows after that line in the script is basically a part of that description setup?

It might just be that the script window isn't showing all of the line, but it does look like it is missing that bracket to me.

Why yes it was missing! Thanks for pointing that out. I will test it with these changes when I've got time (busy with work :p )

Well I changed it but the same thing keeps happening. I don't understand why. I may just remove the toasts system completely and use something else. This is to much work and is creating a huge gap in development.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
