Curious how to have an event change the geography

Hello!

So I have a very basic premise but I'm not sure how to get it done (apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum, I'm a newbie)

I've got a broken bridge, but I want my characters to perform a couple of actions before it gets repaired. Similarly, I want my characters to meet a certain NPC before a dungeon can appear to them- how can I do this?

Switches and variables coupled with event pages. A tutorial on the basics would be good.

With Values and Conditions.

A Switch can have 2 Values, Off or On.
The Smith NPC will not talk to you until you talked to his Wife, which when talked to also turns the Global Switch to On, which is the Condition for the Smith 2nd Eventpage, in which he has Textboxes to Talk.

Starter Tip:
Highest Eventpage ID meeting its conditions is getting used.
Self Switches are only for the Event using it, each Event got his own set of Self Switches.
Global Switches count for the whole Game. (You want to use those for your Problem)
Variables can contain more than a simple off or on ( 0 or 1).

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
