curious

Hey all im working on a very special game needing custom battle and character sprites i wanna be able to make them myself however i dont know nor have the resources to do so can anyone tell me what sites or programs i can use to make compatible battle sprites etc.... Im basically saying i have everything i need to make this game except turning my concept art that i have hand drawn into workable battle sprites

In the help file there's a section on resource standards, that will tell you what you need to know about file format, size, layout and anything else.  The best program is going to depend a lot on the type of resource but GIMP can do pretty much anything, it's a good general program.  However, if you don't have experience in making a lot of graphics with very different requirements I'd ditch the idea of doing everything custom yourself.  It's way more work than you think it is and you'll burn out before you do any game creation at all.  It's better to work with an existing set that you like the style of and create new things for it.  That will get you a better understanding of what's involved and you'll have usable stuff no matter when get sick of making art for it.

Thanks for the info i actually cant just use templates already within for you see its a fan made game and REQUIRES these characters in it thats all i mean no offence just that i cant afford not to make em thats all

So you're looking to make sprites, facesets and possibly battlers?  The easiest way to do it would be to start with generator characters that are as close to the characters as you can make them, then edit from there.  A bit harder but still easier than from scratch would be to start with a blank sprite base and draw the clothes and hair on top.  For sprite work I prefer Aseprite but if you need free Graphics Gale and GIMP would both work.

Thats correct i forgot to mention in it that i was trying to build a jacksepticeye game i have game character hub for character sprites and im using the normal templates for the game map but battlers arnt in it at least jse related battlers arnt thats why i was curious i have all the other things needed just need battlers

Battlers don't require much, it's pretty much just a full body image with no background, so you can pretty much use whichever art program you like as long as it supports transparency (so no MS Paint).  It's also the resource that you absolutely need art skills to make.  You've just got to draw it, there's no work around or shortcut.  If you post your attempts in the resource WIP thread we can help you figure out what's working and what isn't.
