Custom Cursor Plugins.

I've tried the TDDP mouse system, but it doesn't work the way I need (or at all, and messes up plugins I need more). I've tried QTouch, but it loses the cursor when you move the cursor outside the window. What I need is a mouse cursor plugin that lets you set a custom default cursor and then a cursor for when you are hovering over different events or interactive objects.

For example, it'd be nice to have the cursor become a kind of entrance icon for doors or a magnifying glass for objects you can interact with, and things like that. I don't know if this exists or if it's possible, but it'd be great.

Just to clear this up a bit, I'm pretty sure they're looking for a mouse cursor, and not menu cursor.

Hopefully someone can come along and help you. Having the mouse cursor change graphics when it's over events and such sounds like it might be a fairly complex plugin.

Pretty sure TDDP Mouse System Ex is supposed to be able to do all of this and I think it worked OK last time I tried it (though that was a while ago). It's usually easier to request extra features for an existing "core" plugin than get someone to cook up an entirely new one from scratch.

What features do you want that Mouse System Ex doesn't seem to offer?

In case it's simply a compatibility issue: have you tried one (or more) of the community-made updates posted in that plugin's thread?

The issue I have with the TDDP plugin (which seemed to be newest) is that it didn't work and kept giving me the "created cursors folder" pop-up every time I loaded the game, even though the folder already existed. I don't believe I have tried the community-made updates.

If you press F8 during playtest to show the console window, do you see any red (error) or yellow/brown (warning) text there?
