Custom Face Graphics not working.

Hello, i have just made a custom face graphic for my game and it's not working?
I do not know why. I have made it transparent and everything but when i start the game it says:
"Unsupported PNG image"
Can anyone help me make this picture work with RM2k3?

one of the quirks of RM2K(3) is that it needs its pictures with exactly 256 colors - if the picture is saved with more colors then it will no longer work, and most of today's imageprograms automatically store truecolor (24bit) instead of 8bit color.

So how do i convert this face image to 8bit color without making the skin green and hair red or something like that?

that depends on your image program - it needs to create a 256 color palette that goes with the colors you need.
And no, I can't tell you how exactly - most of the professional image programs have specific functions for that, with photoshop for example it's part of the "save for web" options.
