I'm looking to make a little game that involves simple puzzles. It doesn't require any stats, gauges / bars, etc. and only requires Key Items that can't be selected but can be added / removed by events.
With a bit of fiddling I've been able to remove all menu options apart from Items, Save and Quit Game, but I think I'll need something a little more specialized. On the items menu, it still has a difference between Items, two blank tabs and Key Items, and items can still be clicked to go to a Status section. The only things needed for stats would be the player's rank / level in a certain skill / job based on a variable.
In addition, is it possible to place the three menu options in the centre of the screen instead of on the left?
