Hi again! So, I finally figures out how to make a custom name for the character, but now I am lost on how to make NCP's use the name in their speech.

Say the name is "Riko"

His sister says "Good morning Riko!"

but if the name is Dave, I want it to be "Good Morning Dave!"

obviously just use the different name given to the player.

is there a way to do this? I have searched on the tutorials and on youtube... did I skip it on accident? Please help.

\n[#] (# = actor id)

Ex. "Hello \n[1]!"

If Actor #1 is named Gilbert, it would show "Hello Gilbert!"  Never use 0 as an id!

Simple, yet effective.  This also works with message scripts like Yanfly's that use name windows. ex. \n<\n[1]>blah blah

You would put it in the text event. If you click into your text event and let your mouse hover there a moment it will display a list of commands that you can use.

To clarify the above reference.

If your first actor slot has a character named, Ralph and you put the following into a text event:

Hello, \n[1]!

Then it would show on screen as: Hello, Ralph!

It looks like you should take off some time from your game project and use it to learn more about the editor and the engine.

Just exploring the options of Ace and working with the tutorials for a few hours now will drastically speed up your later working time on your game.

Follow the link in my signature, it will give you the most basic tips and links to tutorials.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
