So I happen to have some tilesets that are more side-scrolling than top-down and I had a question or two. I know that each sheet for each thing needs to be a certain size... But as these definitely weren't made for rpg maker, putting the sheets available to the correct sizes isn't helping. Unfortunately I'm assuming that even if it's 48x48, if it's not the proper size, it won't fit in the editor right? So, basically I was wondering 2 things...

A. Is there anything that let's you make custom tilesheets out of the sheets I have... I ask that because

B. Should I just take apart these sheets and re-format them for MV?

And if this is in the wrong section, I'm sorry about that..

What are the sheets you're using, and where did they come from? Can you give a link?
Normally if you are using images that weren't made for RPG Maker, you need to reformat them. So option B.

sure, here's a link https://muchopixels.itch.io/city-street-tileset-pack tho. they're 16x16 naturally... so I resized them to 48x48... but because of their arrangement on the sheets in general... they are too big for the editor based on the sized needed. So yeah, I'm guessing just rearrange the sheets myself?

Yeah, you will need to reformat.

Anything you put on any of the A sheets should not have transparency. When you draw an A tile on top of another A tile, the first one will be erased.

A5 is a good sheet to use for backgrounds, but it's one of the smallest. All the other A tiles are autotiles. If you can figure out how they are formatted, you might be able to make use of some of them (things like roads, maybe buildings).

You might find the 16x16 tiles on the B-E sheets won't let you fit everything, and if that's the case, you'll have to create different Tilesets for individual "areas" using just the tiles you need in those areas.

hmm ok, good to know all of this actually. this helps a great deal. I've been trying to figure out if any custom tilesets would have any use and it's been difficult lol. so thanks for the info.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
