OK so this is kind of a newbish question, but does anyone know how to add custom title screen text?

Im more thinking like a logo title, so i would add the backround for the title screen, but instead of the text, i would

have a logo to replace it. Something like this.

M&L SH.png
anyone know how to add a logo like that to the title screen? (Seperate from the backround)

Using Gimp, Photoshop or similar,

Open up your background image

Open up your logo

Put one on top of the other.

Save and import back into the editor.

On System tab uncheck the little box bottom right where it asks if you want the title to be shown.

ok i did that and it WORKED, however i added the image, and when it showed up it didnt fit the entire screen for the title. I know its supposed to be 544x416, but when i make it that size in photoshop it stretches the image. is there a way to resize how big an image should be on a title screen?

Your query isn't entirely clear to me.  When you say you stretched the image, which image was that - the background one or the logo that you are adding?

I am going to assume that you mean the background one.  In which case, what image is it?  What size is it before you do anything to it?  Did you stretch it before you added the logo or after?

... ohhhhh,

and I was about to give a whole tutorial on how to do something much more different and complicated...

I misunderstood, this belongs somewhere a bit more general.

Anyways, you could just take a pre-existing title background and edit over that as reference if you're having trouble with sizes.

Also, which text do you mean exactly?

Are you possibly trying to have the Title's text window transparent with just the image background itself underlying the text options?

I was referring to the text that is displayed on the title screen normally. My problem was with the image AFTER i had edited it in photoshop, I re sized the entire completed image (with the logo) and it was stretched. Luckily I was able to make it work and now it fits properly.

I do have a question though, how do you change things like the font and the color of text in events that have text?

It's usually better to resize your image before you put the logo on, as an lack of crispness will probably show up most with text.

For your new query you need to get a script, maybe something like Yanfly's Message System.  I'll see if I can find the link.  However, if you have queries about it, please start a new thread.  Each question should be kept separate.

EDIT

Here is the link to the explanatory page.  The link for the script is the Github one just underneath the first image on that page.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
