I am having a lot of trouble with my cut scenes. But first, here's a little something about these cut scenes before I move on to asking. I have a sequence of drawings that create the cut scenes rather than use my custom pixels. Basically, my event pages look like :

Show Picture

Wait: [X] frames

(Text)

Erase Picture

Okay, now to the questions.

In the first cut scene, it works fine if I click "New game" but if I continue from a save point while in the same room as the cut scene it will automatically play. It will even play the intro cut scene by just simply entering the room.

I don't know exactly if this has anything to do with a malfunctioning self-switch or if it's just that my scene is set to "Parallel Process", but I could use some input just so that I can use this advice for future reference.

Another thing. Remember the thread that took up about a half an hour (maybe exaggerating) just to figure out how to center that light picture onto my character? Well, now that picture is fighting the very important cut scene that I NEED to have by erasing the pictures the second they show up. Is there a way to not only make the cut scene play just once but also to make that stupid picture stop fighting the more important cut scene. I was thinking having the lighting picture fade in after the cut scene is done.

If you need me to be more specific on something, tell me. I want you to have as much information as possible.

Self switch, or a conditional switch might help.

Can you post a screen shot of your events and I can tell you exactly.

1) parallel process and autorun events automatically loop and repeat themselves, unless you manually switch them off (NOT by using erase event) - that's the reason why they always play when you're on that map. You need to give those events an empty page on action button trigger, conditioned on the switch that you will use to switch off the parallel process/autorun.

2) the number of the picture determines wether a command affect that picture or not. If commands from a different event are modifying (or erasing) your current event's pictures, then the pictures in both events have the same numbers AND the other event isn't properly switched off.

If possible, switch off the other event. If you still need the other event, make sure that the pictures have different numbers.

If your cutscene is triggered by Autorun, then you need to turn it off after it completes. Erase Event does NOT turn it off. It only stops it running until you leave the map and return. You have to add an extra event page, condition it by a switch or self switch, and turn on that switch or self switch at the end of your cutscene.

1- While the cut-scene stops repeating, it fades in to the game before it gets to the cut scene.

2- Same problem for above, except now both of the pictures are showing at the same time. This is good, but I want the lighting to be in the background.

Please post screenshots of all the event pages.

This is too complex to check without full data if our hints weren't enough for you to find the errors for yourself.

The picture numbers also set the picture's priority, if you want to swap the Z-Level of two pictures, try swapping the numbers used.

Here are the events that control the cut scenes.

Along with the image that controls the lighting.

Edit:

Also, I'm kinda on a tight deadline so yeah.

Sorry if I sound pushy.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
