Introduction

wrigty12 requested a feature of having in-game weather affecting stats within the topic @ the web address below:
http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/24917-damage-during-battle-from-weather/

This script allows for all stats - such as; params, xparams, sparams, atk elements, def elements, parent stats (created with my ISPDS), atk level, def level && max tp. You can also change an actors skills and states by the current weather...And guess what!! It also affects enemies (everything except skills).

I cannot see a way of restricting the effects of this script to just one actor.  Am I overlooking something obvious?

If I'm not overlooking it, would there be a straightforward way of achieving that?

Thanks.

Nope, not overelooking, its just not implemented at all :)

are you talking about always restricting it to one actor, and no enemies at all? That would be easy enough to implement :)

That's right.  I want one actor only to be affected by weather conditions.  No enemies.

To achieve such a thing you would need to add something like this;

return unless self == $game_actors[1]Probably occasionally need to return a value instead of nothing, but yea, that would have to be added into almost every method in game battler type classes to stop it from running unless the actor is the desired one. :)

Not being a scripter that sounds wide open to error.  If it 'occasionally' needs something else, I wouldn't know when that was, and I'm not confident that I could put it in the right place in every method, nor know which ones not to (because it's 'almost every' method).

It looks as if i shall have to drop the idea of using this, which is a shame.

Thanks anyway.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
