Damage Popup on Actors? (+ TSBS)

Hi, I am back with another questions. I have tried messing around with it myself but could not find the answer myself. Hopefully someone can enlighten me :)

I use TSBS and the damage popup script provided by Luna. The enemy shows damage popup just fine, but there's no damage popup on the actor. How to show the damage popup to actors also?

I do have the same issue here but I also haven't found a solution yet.
My guess is that since that system is using a picture related sprite system it overlays the number pop up as well it overlays the HP bar script I'm using.

I could make the HP bar move to a different place and it could be alright but about the number pop up it's really a big issue.

Yup, it's a really big issue since it looks like the actor isn't damaged at all :s 

Hopefully someone can help us fix this trouble.

That's odd, did you try one of the sample projects? Since I used the TSBS and Luna Engine and it works just fine pop up wise. It even uses pictures.

Yes, I tried it out. In fact, I copied the compability patch over from that project to mine. 

The only difference is I use TSBS ver 1.4 instead of 1.3c from the demo.

I don't know about 1.4 since I haven't tested it out yet, there might've been some changes ;;;;

Try asking theo since he was the one who wrote the compatibility patch.

I'm using v1.3c but I still have the same issue so it's not v1.4 fault. I use Luna Engine for pop up pictures too and well, having that issue.

Did you set a sprite for the enemies through tsbs and then battle them and well damage them... do you see pop ups coming from them?
Maybe it's the damage counter which blocks the pop up? (I would disable the damage counter anyway if I knew how).
 

Anyway I can only get my own actors to see pop ups but not on enemy battlers.

but as I said, theo wrote the compatibility patch for Luna Engine, so it's better to ask him.

Oh I just tested out changing some script order, well it didn't fix it but if the pop up scripts of luna are under theo's system then it shows damage on the enemy when they get hit, if it's somewhere inbetween mostly depending on the order no pop ups at all and if it's very much above the other scripts then the pop ups appear on my actors but not on enemies except for HP % loss pop ups, they always appear somehow.

Still couldn't get it fixed tho.

Hi, if you read my profile I don't accept people in skype if it's about support requests and such. We're also working on something big right now that takes precedence since it's an update to Luna Engine. I can't check your quest post yet but hopefully Yami could and has time.

Okay then. I read about the creation of own scenes and it sounds really interesting as it's good for implementing custom systems in the future. Well I'll be waiting then until Yami has time

I have found the fix for the damage popup. I disabled "Shaking HUD" (battle add-on script) and put the damage popup below my battle system scripts. It all works fine now. Try this too in case you still have this issue.

Disabled the Shaking HUD script and it works fine now!

Though it's kinda a pity since I can no longer use shaking HUD script (it looks better), but I still prefer my damage popup!

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
