Dance of the Damned. Does anyone have a recent copy of it?

Due to accidently erasing months of work, I was hoping someone had a recent copy (this month) of my game so I can have someone unencrypt it and try to finish it before I died of old age. Yes, I messed up the copies too. Thanks.

General Discussion is for discussing broad principles of game making. I'll be moving this, but as well as General Lounge, this would be fine for a Status Update. You would have to be briefer, but I think you could get the essentials in to the 140 character limit, and then add anything else as a comment on your own update.

Can you provide the adresses where you gave that game for download recently?
That way people will know it is the game you're writing about and you also won't get links to old copies.

I've lost many of my late 90's early 2000's games to lighting storm surge fried hard drives and other general Windows 98 crashes. I'm just now learning later in life that some copies actually survived as cache of my old generation-one web pages on the Wayback Engine.

@Pocked It's a miracle that he has as much of a copy as he does. Most of my old games weren't so lucky. Also the Wayback Engine is a miracle. It's like the entire internet dating back to '96 in archive form.

@Tanarex I can download the most recent link and see what I can come up with.

If I come up with anything, a PM will be sent to your inbox.

Thanks but I was hoping someone had the copy I made before Feb 11. Before I erased a month's worth of data.

When was your previous release? The one released before Feb. 11?

Wayback machine can help. Maybe.

It seems to me it would be odd for someone to have it on their hard drive of the latest version if it were never uploaded. However if it was uploaded somewhere, why would it not still be where it was uploaded? That's where google cache and web.archive.org come in handy. Things are harder to lose online.

I hope you find your game. I know the heartbreak of losing many old projects.

However, there is something motivating about remaking a lost game because you already know what to make. It's like spreading warm butter as opposed to frozen butter.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
