    I was browsing through my MV dlc folder and noticed this pack. Can't remember where I downloaded and can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where it came from? It seems to include a Readme but it's just strings of symbols to me. The pack includes character sprites and sv sprites in MV size and another set in a bigger size.

    Try opening the Readme with some program like Notepad++... If still not showing letters, it may be in a different language, like Russian or Japanese.

    Not much more I can help with :/

    There are some free bonus DLC items that come with the Steam version and sometimes there are updates which include this. I noticed MV updated the other day and sure enough when I look in my file folders, this DLC is there, with the date modified as "12/22/2018". So, it looks like it's a new freebie DLC.

    I was able to open and read the text document using chrome but it's instructions on how to use it. Does anyone know how these resources can be used - commercial/non-commercial and who to credit?

    This dropped like stone from sky onto me. Just found it and it's great, but I wish there'd have been some kind of announcement or something. I've got so much purchased DLC that another folder is very easy to miss.

    If someone is having trouble reading the REDME file because it's in Japanese and you don't have that language support installed on your operating system, here's what it says;

    ●素材利用方法

    ■3頭身グラフィックの歩行グラフィック、フェイスグラフィックをご利用頂く場合========
    ・次のファイルをプロジェクトフォルダにコピーしてご利用ください。

     charactersフォルダ
     facesフォルダ

    ■3頭身グラフィックのSVバトラーをご利用頂く場合====================================

    ・武器グラフィックの位置調整のために次のファイルを上書きする必要がございます。
     プロジェクトフォルダのコピーを他の箇所へ保存するなどして、必ずバックアップをお取りください。

     imgフォルダ-systemフォルダ-「Weapons1.png」「Weapons2.png」「Weapons3.png」
     jsフォルダ-「rpg_sprites.js」

    ・2頭身グラフィックの武器モーションの併用はできませんのでご注意ください。

    You could of course double check the translation yourself by copy-pasting the above into google translate or something if you don't wanna trust me for whatever reason. Otherwise, here's my translation;

    When you're using the walk and face graphics of the 3-head tall sprites, copy the following folders (into your project);

    * Characters
    * Faces

    When using the SV-battlers of the 3 head tall sprites, it's necessary to overwrite the following file to adjust the position of the weapon graphics;

    [Inside the "/System" folder]
    * Weapons1.png
    * Weapons2.png
    * Weapons3.png

    [Inside the "/Js" folder]
    * rpg_sprites.js

    Please make sure to save a backup of your original files. Also note that it's not possible to combine the 3 head tall SV battlers with the 2 head tall ones because of the positioning of the weapon graphics.

    ----------------------------

    The README says nothing about credit and/or commercial usage. However, I'd be comfortable using these resources commercially myself since it's by KADOKAWA (who else?). I can't imagine they categorize it any different than the RTP, and if they did then something would probably be written about it in the README file.

    [EDIT; Here's a link to the japanese download site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you should find it. Clicking the "ダウンロードページへ" should bring you to the download page and there you'll also find the material ToS;

    While I did translate the above instructions I'm not comfortable translating stuff like Terms of Use for someone else. Since well, my Japanese isn't perfect and I might misunderstand some nuance and get someone in trouble. Maybe @slimmmeiske2 wants to do it though since she has a thread dedicated to that sort of stuff.]

    *actually looks at pack* Oh wow, this is fantastic! Tall sprites! Including the SV battlers! Of the original cast and the new additions! They look soooo much better tall. I love it!

    I just looked at it (I'm glad I waited to last few days before going offline on Steam).

    I was pleasantly surprised that they include pictures and busts of the characters. This opens up more options for people who like using picture/bust enhanced dialogue.

    Can't check this out until I get home in a few days. Does anyone know if this is in Katakura Hibiki's style? I'm making a game using his MV resources right now.

    Thanks @Parallax Panda. I'm still sketchy on this part of the terms -

    However, if you distribute a game created using this material with "RPG Maker MV", it is necessary to register "RPG MUST MV" as a user.

    Does this mean you must own MV or ???

    Hi, please wait for the official announcement here. We're translating everything and we'd appreciate it if everyone can hold off on 3rd party distribution or translations. :)
