This is really awesome for my Zombie game but how do you disable it for certain maps and then enable on maps you want?

You want to disable the stamina feature only or you want to disable the dash altogether?


If it is the first, you just need to turn ON the disable switch for the stamina feature.


The disable switch is configurable in the settings of the script.


If you want to disable the dash completely, you will need to edit the script itself.


Find the 'def dash?' definition in the script.


Insert this line before the previous 'return false if...' line:

return false if $game_switches[id] == trueReplace 'id' with the ID of the switch you will be using to disable the dash completely.
Now, whenever you turn that switch ON, the dash will be disabled completely.

I tried the line of code, however for some reason the switch somehow keeps turning off when I tell it to turn on. What I want the script to do is make it so that when the Stamina reaches 0, the player will become fatigued and cannot run again until the stamina recovers to a certain point such as 50 Stamina. It would be cool if the color of the bar changed showing that you have fatigue, so you know you can't run until its green again if the fatigue color was orange or something. I'm surprised this feature hasn't been added yet to the script...

I'm new here in this community, and VX/Ace. Kinda exploring and knowing, atm. Sadly, hopeless in scripting. Fortunately, wise enough to install and make it work properly. :)

So let's get straight to the point. I hope ya guys dont mind me questioning. Is there a breather effect in this script; you know when you ran out of air from running first you slow down then you had to stop for a breather moment, immobilizing or impeding the player's movements (either slowed down or total stop or both) for a brief second before the player restabilize his/her mobility upon recovering let's say 20% stamina for the sake of this argument?

I'm currently working on a horror genre, I aim to make my sprint key to be rather strategically used and not spastic to give my players tension. It's okay if it's not possible, this has been useful enough.

One last thing, how do you hide the Stamina Value in the stamina bar? I only want the bar.

I'm looking to expand the dashing time, or increase the stamina. I've edited the script and keep turning up errors >.<

If someone could tell me what line to edit, that would be a big help.

e.g. instead of 200 stamina maybe 350-400?

What if want make limited staminal for different characters.

Like want make someone like school girl is can't run too long normaly. Also somehow soldier is probably must have big stamina.

Please help my with that. :)

sorry if I bring up an old post,


can this script be modified to have the disable switch work the opposite way?


i mean, hide the stamina bar when it's OFF and show it when it's ON (it also makes more sense since at the start of the game every switch is off)?


i kinda managed to do so by changing:


$game_switches[YES::DASH::DISABLE_SWITCH] ? self.hide : self.show


into


!$game_switches[YES::DASH::DISABLE_SWITCH] ? self.hide : self.show




around line 326... however by doing this, when the stamina is ON, i can still sprint even if i'm out of stamina...


i'm pretty sure i'm missing something :p

in response to my own other question, i examined the script better and i realized i missed the fact that there was an option (in the customization part of the script):


84 ENABLE_WINDOW = false # Toggle stamina window.


so far so good. the problem is, how do i turn the bar visible again during the game? is there a call script do do so?


generally speaking, how do i know which "script calls" are avaliable for custom script, in case the author for any reasons do not provide them?

I was wondering...

Is there a way to manually deplete Stamina? say pulling up a turnip (as made my an event tile) costs 5 stamina (when you have no stamina left you have to rest to refill)

P.S: I'm new to this scripting thing, so be gentle with me :p

But - If I disable it with the Switch, the Stamina Window is showing up for 1 second if I close a Menu.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
