I would like to make a request.

Genre: Character theme
Instruments Required: Um ... I'm not sure. I like the classics (piano, violin, cello or guitar). Just not too modern?
Reference Track: Something you'll recognize immediately but also subtle. Dark and threatening but smooth.

Brief description of the scene: The song would be for the main antagonist of my project. He is a good looking, very confident guy - and the ruler of the underworld.

Yay! That's all I have to say.
... Just kidding. Thank you so much. I like how it's elegant at first with an underlying sense of threat and then sounds more dangerous in the middle. That's really fitting because when you see the villain you may know he is evil but not how dangerous he really is.

Genre: Location Theme (not entirely sure how to answer this)
Instruments Required: (secretly, I don't actually know what the instruments often used in desert-y music are, so I'll have to leave this one blank. Sorry!)
Reference Track:

Brief description of the scene. Include any emotion or atmosphere you require: The song would be for a vast desert the players will have to traverse a few times in the story. The game's pretty lighthearted overall. I don't know if this'll make much sence, but I'm really hoping for a "Nintendo-ey" sounding track. Something about their music just sounds so inviting and catchy, the sort of stuff you could listen to all day. That's what I'm hoping to achieve.

Alright, one more spoiler in my sig, this time it leads here (I have to watch for my sig size to not be too big)

Genre: One of these battle themes you don't see everywhere - emotional battle theme, for battles where emotional stuff is happening
Instruments Required: Completely optional, since I don't want to hamper your creativity. But if I was to name some, it would be piano, violin and/or flute at the front, with piano, some heavy organ sounds and maybe some heavy drums at the background. I don't think soft drums and percussion would be good for it.

You mention emotional as well as hard drums which is fine, but do you want it hyped similar to my fallen wings track or do you want something softer?

First time I edit my signature as well, so I hope everything works fine.
While I listened to your music I somehow fell in love with your "Jade Mangrove". It would be great if you could make a remastered version from this song (not sure how you will improve it but I'm really excited to find out). Could I just ask for one more thing? Could you maybe change the nature sounds just a little so it sounds like a regular forest? Only if it's not too much extra work.

Genre: Something you might see an evil villain playing inside a castle on pipe organs. I know it's not a genre, but honestly I don't know what it fits.
Instruments Required: Organ
Reference Track: Ideally, Bloody Tears from Castlevania SOTN remix. I love the way the guitar and organ play off of each other. If too much work then Toccata and Fugue in Dm is a good reference.
Brief description of the scene. Keep/Dungeon exploration, something like music to drive to if you get what I mean. If possible to get the fast tempo riffing and whatnot, might tie it to a fight or minigame.
Edit: I can't stop listening to that track, it really gets the blood pumping.

thanks for your interest! Always nice to see a new face ^^
So, i listened to that sotn remix, and unfortunately i cannot replicate and guitar tracks. I generally stick orchestral/electric synth.
Im not sure if you listened to my soundcloud at all, but that should help you get a feel for what kind of library i have.

I could always try your track, using other methods instead of a guitar, but i'll leave that decision to you.

Actually, the reason why I said heavy drums, I thought something like this battle drum in the foreground or drums made from skin-like materials - a long, deep sound that holds for a bit:

The drums in feather's fall aren't steel drums. They are traditional orchestral toms, and the ones in the video you liked here are called timpani.
timpani is basically a softer version of the orchestra toms but i don't mind which we use

So just to clarify, (since you didn't really answer the question), did you want something hyped like feather's fall or something tense like this video you linked me?

There's something mysterious about the atmosphere in this track that I really like.
And there definitely aren't enough tracks that play so perfectly in the background to support a scene and not dominate it.
So I'm really happy that I've found one.
