What is this about?
One of my experiment that allow smooth drawing black border via eventing. Modified to be user friendly and easy to study. Normally, we don't want black border in our game. But this black border can be treated as a cinematic effect.

Requirement
  • Apprentice knowledge of how script call works in event.
  • Apprentice knowledge of math and array.
  • Understanding of how common event works.
  • 2 variables (Rect Border, Phase), 2 switches (Cinematic View, Return View), a parallel common event (Cinematic Border).
  • Difficulty level : Adept

Cinematic Border parallel common event.

Points to be noted
  • It's designed to be convenient. User only need set a variable to an array rect, and playing with the switches.
  • It's designed to be "smooth". Thus explained why it had to use parallel process.
  • Recommended usage for whatever suit your need, Be creative.
  • In the end this is done via eventing. But then you might need this rare kind of feature. Especially when you participate in certain rpg maker challenge where plugins are unallowed.
  • This one is free to use. I made it for study purpose.

At last, let me know if there's something you don't understand or what would you like to suggest to improve it.

Thank you ~

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
