December Goals & Progress Thread

@Littlefish: It's for a farming RPG, Basically my own version of Harvest Moon and Rune Factory made in RPG maker. I've already got the time/season system working and a basic harvesting system. I think I have some great ideas that will make it stand out from the rest of the not so vast mass of Harvest Moon clones  BD (maybe I'm a bit overly optimistic about that though)

I haven't been very active since the holidays, but I started up The End of Eternity again.  (Chaos Avian gave me a bit of inspiration.  Seriously waiting on a Ruby Chronicles update) God willing I'll finally be posting the thing up on the forums soon.

I love harvest moon styled games (My lazy afternoon is one title Im looking forward to see more of as well).

So can't wait to see more of your game that's for sure

I've been more productive in this last week than in the whole month together ^^;

I've mostly been busy searching for sprites and eventing NPCs. I'm going try and map some indoors today and tomorrow as well, so I have a headstart on my January goal

Yeah, I think the color is a bit off.

@Slim - Eventing NPCs, oh my, I'm not sure why but I hate doing that so, i feel for you. Even if you love it and don't need the feels, you've got them anyway, lol.

Okay, I've made pretty much no progress over the last week or more with getting Christmas stuff ready. Today however, I started working on my tiles again.

Disclaimer: I know there are issues with them. Things like the perspective on the flower is not right, not everything has shadows (not sure if I'm going to use shadows yet), and the river is too uniform. But I think it's looking a bit more filled out and the water is animated, if not so well, lol. My plan is to do the very utmost that I can with them and then see about having someone fine tune them for me. Anyway, here's a screenshot.

I'm not a big fan of eventing them either, so the feels were much appreciated, mlogan.
 
I finished seven maps today and yesterday. Woohoo

First the mapping looks really awesome, what is the name of the tileset you're using in pic 1 & 4?

@ mlogan Aaaaah! I am so excited for you. I agree with the things you already made a note of for improvements but I just have to say how impressed I am that you've taken on this challenge and already made such great progress on it. I have no doubt that you'll achieve this goal in due time. 

@ slimmmeiske2 7 maps is a lot. : O

I really like them. Each interior has its own character and charm. Very important quality to have as a house often tells you about the people who live there.

@Cheeky Moon: The first one is an edited Shop tileset (from the XP RTP), with plants from Shabraxxx.The fourth one is an edited Castle Town In/Farm Village In tileset, with stuff from Euphony and Lunarea. Hope that answers your question

@Ms Littlefish: Glad it shows. I always first decide who's going to live there, before actually mapping. And thank you!
