Hey everyone,

I remember in VX Ace's manual it laid out the "default" hard-coded effects of Agility and Luck in determining initiative and ailment chance - but I can't find that info in the MV manual.

Am I just missing it? Is it the same as VX? Is there a way to check?

I change the base values and re-purpose all of the abilities, so I want to know what's built-in to the major default parameters that aren't easily changed.

Thanks for any info!  :D

I'm going to follow this topic because I'd like to know how to tweak it myself. I'm going on PURE assumption here, so hopefully someone corrects me if I'm wrong. Take this with a grain of salt.

As far as where to find the hard-coded effects for Luck, I think it's in rpg_objects.js. Specifically on line 1956.

Game_Action.prototype.lukEffectRate = function(target) {    return Math.max(1.0 + (this.subject().luk - target.luk) * 0.001, 0.0);
So that looks like the Luck formula for determining the percentage of things like inflicting Debuffs and States. It acts as a modifier of sorts.

Now... Looking at a few lines up in the .js file, I THINK I see that when adding a state, the following happens:

There the base chance for the state to be applied. Then that's multiplied by the state rate of the target (set by traits). And finally, multiplied by whatever the Luck modifier happens to be.

My question is... How would I make a plugin to modify that formula? I'd imagine that it wouldn't be smart to edit the original .js file.

Thumbs up for script/plugin Noobs... lol.

EDIT: For the agility formula... I'm almost positive that there's a plugin that exists to change the default formula of determining the turn order and how agility effects it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
