As a Windows user I've been trying to deploy my game to a friend that has a MacOS. Unfortunately they can't seem to open the file but I read that they might be able to open my game if they played it via Web Browser. Is this true? And if so how can I get that going? I would appreciate it if someone would point me to a guide or something.

Yes, they can play on a web browser. You click Deployment-->HTML and then host the game somewhere for them to play. The instructions are in the help manual which you can find under the Help menu in the editor.

MacOS deployment should also work if done correctly.
It would help if you told us what files you gave them and what error they get.

I just hit deploy for mac OS and it's not that they got an in-game error but they straight up couldn't open the file when they clicked on it.

The image below is what they got:

Because you handled the deployment wrong.
If you deploy to MacOS from Windows, you'll get a folder, not a file. But that folder is the app under MacOS.
If you change anything on that folder before transfering to MacOS (like zipping it) that will NOT create an App under MacOS, but a zipped folder instead - and the Mac-User would have to rework that zipping or whatever you do before he can get the app to work.
But if you upload that to a website that expects to get an MacOS-App, that will never work.

The problem here is that MacOS hides the folder and pretends toward the user that it is an app based on a flag that does not exist in the Windows file system. So you need to copy the deployed folder to a MacOS, and set the flag that this folder is an app under MacOS before it can be uploaded to a website like gamespot or so on.

I did literally nothing to the folder once I deployed it(no zipping or anything). I just straight up uploaded it to dropbox once it finished deploying.

So basically I need a Mac computer in order for Mac users to play my game? Sorry, I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here.

A Mac user should be able to use and start the deployed version of the program as long as nothing is changed within it. Unfortunately I rarely have access to a MacOS computer because I don't own one, but I might be able to get to one for testing at the weekend (no promises).

Okay. Thanks for the response. And hopefully I'll be able to get to the bottom of this issue soon.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
