Deployment excludes extra folders?

I have not yet got to the deployment stage in developing either of my games, but I do use plugins that require extra folders be created, namely Super Tools, Hud Maker, Character Creator EX, and Dragon Bones, but I just heard on youtube that if I select the option to 'exclude unused context' that it will exclude all of these folders, so my questions are, is this true, and if so then is there any way to manually select them so that they are definitely included in the game, or am I going to have to manually go through the folder and remove all unneeded assets manually?

I had the same issue, if you exclude all unused content then manually paste each folder back into the deployed folder it should work fine. It's a lot less time-consuming than removing all the other files, anyway.

Okay, good. I haven't used deployment yet so I wasn't sure how it worked exactly. As long as I am able to paste them back in I am fine. Just got a bit worried when I heard that detail on youtube.

LunarcomplexRM was stating that he advised that all assets be removed after the game was created and manually add back in the assets you want to use, but that seemed like a lot of work, especially at the stage I am in. I literally added every possible javascript in, from Yanfly, SumRndmDde, and Princess HIME, even though I didn't use them all, and I added in every DLC pack I own, which is a massive nunber. Most will not be used, but I didn't want to have to hunt everything down later if I did decide to use something, I was just counting on deployment to get rid of the extra stuff.

Anyway, thanks for the swift reply. I was worried about that.

Somewhere on this forum though, there is a script that does the same, just better job, because it scans through scripts etc. for possible required files. Therefore it doesn't remove everything, but still may be better than removing too much :)

That would be useful, if I can find it. Never heard of that one.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
