Hi everyone!

We are a team of two students who created a game with VX Ace for a single-semester project. Now we are looking for people to take a quick survey and play the game to help us analyze your playstyles. The testing phase ended, but feel free to play and send in feedback!

We present to you: Desn Explorers!

About the game:

A few years ago, scientists were able to establish a connection to humans in another world:
Desn. Unlike our world, there is magic in Desn but almost no technology.
After exchanging some messages between the worlds, the scientists started to develop a stronger
teleportation engine to be able to send humans to Desn and back.

The scientists just finished their prototype when messages from Desn stopped arriving. You
play as Explorer, a mercenary who has a contract with the scientists. Your task is to travel to
Desn and find out why the communication was lost.

What to expect:

  • You will have the choice between four different key items, each of which representing a unique playstyle.
That means there are really four different games combined into one! The game is separated into levels
and at the start of each level you have one chance to switch to another item. It's completely up to you
if you want to switch or if you want to play the whole game with the playstyle that most interests you.
  •  This is ***not an RPG***, it is an adventure game.
  • One playthrough should take around an hour.
  • This is a science project, not a game test, so most important for us is getting data on your play behavior.
That said, any feedback is still greatly appreciated - we are still learning, after all!
  • This is a full game. However, since it was done by two people over the course of 3 months the game is
not polished and there may be bugs. See it as a beta, if you will. If you happen to find any bugs (especially
game-breaking ones), please send us a pm here or a mail to our mail address so we can fix them asap.
  • The game uses (almost) exclusively RTP assets, however you do not need to have the RTP installed to play it.
The reason we don't use selfmade assets is the harsh time limit for the project.

Download & Contact Links:
1. Download the game and manual here: [click](https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B51gNJc3dNw9TGRtcjFQX1l0Tms)
2. Contact: desnexplorers@gmail.com - feel free to send in your save files as well, we're very interested in your gaming behavior!

We are grateful  for any feedback you can give.

We will try to answer any questions as fast as possible via PM or mail as far as timezones and work schedules permit.

Thanks for your time, and if you decide to participate, thanks for helping us out!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
