Back Story
In the land of Nazerah, humans spend their lives living in towns and villages sheltered behind Magnia Seals that grant protection from the dangerous monsters that plague their world. These barriers were created by humanesque beings with supernatural abilities. These beings are known as the Sorcerers.

Legends tell the story of a beautiful Sorceress who took pity on the human’s harsh lifestyle, believing in the beauty of all life. It was this beautiful Sorceress who sacrificed her body to fuel the power of the Magnia Seals. She then became known as humanity’s savoir. She was their Goddess.

Along with the Goddess, the Sorcerers were worshiped by many for their contribution to the preservation of the human race. People now could live out their lives without the fear of an attack from a monster. Though some believed that the safety given to them came with a price. There were those of among the population that strongly believed in the conspiracy theory that the barriers, though protecting humans, are truly tools use to inconspicuously suppress humans. These people made the brave choice to live outside protective barriers as “free” humans. Now adapting to the harsh life outside the barriers, a small group of warriors, called the Realist, now dedicated their lives to exposing the Sorcerers and freeing Humanity from the Sorcerers grip.

It's an interesting concept, especially with how the hero's mission can technically make him viewed as the "villain" in the eyes of the ordinary people since it would seem like he is dooming them by removing the barriers

I like your story!

My only concern currently is: Why wouldn't the sorcerers have thought of something to prevent research into the Magnia Barriers? Or at least to silence the people who report this life draining effect? (or deny their claims like Donald Trump does with the environment)

I think your artwork is really, really nice (did you make it yourself?), but I'm not sure it fits very well with how your screenshots look? (very different styles). Are you going to include character images like these in the actual game (e.g. as face sprites in dialogs?)

It is a nice concept. Could be done in a very interesting story. Reminds me about the film City of Ember, it has a similar type of story. You can play a lot with the idea of people ignorance and blind belief (perhaps some kind of cult worshipping the barriers?).

POST UPDATE: 7/9/18

Two new screen shots has been added to the screen shot spoiler section! Check them out.

They show WIP of a fully custom menu system that's being planned to be used for DCSacrilege!

This art. The Final Fantasy-styled name. You leave just enough mystery and potential conflict to make the game interesting, and I love how you've changed how the menu. Can't wait to try a demo.

You've got a pretty interesting story here! You haven't given us a massive info dump but I still get a sense of the shades of grey in the world and the stakes of the conflict, so props for that. The main sticking point for me is that while the art and the menu is really nice by itself, it almost looks like it belongs in an entirely different game, there's a real clash there that's hard not to notice. Either way, that's a minor point, and I'm still interested to see where this goes from here.

I like your main idea and the sense of mystery you've put into it. I can see this game turning out really well, as the way your plot is, you have the option to have characters that can pick sides for other reasons then simply being "good" or "bad". I don't see that often in RPG Maker games, but if handled well it could turn into a fun experience for anyone who plays the game.

I also agree with onipunk that the character profile art doesn't really fit. I know you can have different artwork for menus and maps anyway, but here it does really clash. At the same time I personally am not put-off by it, but I do see the clash that onipunk sees.

Best of luck with this! :)

This look like an interesting concept; devices that protect settlements from monster attacks reminds me of Tales of Vesperia (although I haven't played that game yet).
Blage (or is it "Blake"? One image states his name to be "Blade") is a... piece of art. ;) I hope we'll get shirtless scene with him, or some hot springs or something. ;)
The "Status" menu has a misspelling: it's "Strength", not "Strenght"; it's a common misspelling.
The in-game screenshots could be bigger, not a collage like it is now since it's hard to see anything there.
Also, I'm curious how the battles look like.

All in all, I'm looking forward to it. ;)

I was messing around with timings and kinda created the green shell minigame from Mario and Luigi: BIS.
It was too goofy not to share XD
Was real busy today but I found a few minutes to start on the named cultists and how to give each of them visually distinctive morphology within the confined of the cult robes. I really dislike straight recolors so I trying real hard with the small details on these.
