Hey! Hopefully this is in the right place.

I was doing me some of that thinking stuff and remembered something that made me want to start this thread.

Have any of you encountered any creepy occurrences within your games as you were developing them? It's creepypasta-ish, in a way.

My example and story: I was developing an enemy that retains extra-dimensional spatial abilities. I was quite proud of creating a strangely powerful skill for him titled, "Outward Glimpse." I'm sitting there, about 3 in the morning, getting the troop ready for the battle test. All the lights are off, I can barely see my keyboard and mouse, everything is silent, I'm completely alone. Finally I get the battle started. The enemy uses its first attack, Fear Incinerator. I return the gesture with a headbutt.

Then it happened.

"Scarecrow shows the enemy a glimpse into the Beyond."

Immediately, my computer shuts off. The room had gone completely dark and noise itself had seemed to have fled. For a second I wondered if my own creation was about to kill me, if reaching outside of our physical reality for this enemy was actually orchestrated by a higher being than me and I was about to suffer the ailment I myself had created.

Opening Pandora's Box. Sufferer temporarily goes completely insane... and then dies.

Turns out I had a stupid windows reboot scheduled and didn't notice the popup telling me it was about to restart. Still scared the patooties offa me either way.

So, anyone have any weird/creepy experiences happen to them while creating their games?

Again, I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for this and apologize ahead of time if so. I hope to hear from you all soon!

RMMV
One time, when editing some songs on my laptop, I went to a vending machine to get some chips. And when my chip selection started to vend...

it knocked down another bag of chips.

And I got two bags of chips.

I was genuinely spooked.

I once worked on my game so long I started to talk like my characters. This gets funnier once you realize that I made up a swear word for my game.

Yeah, that was definitely a ghost. Watch yourself, they say vending machine spooks are just the first warning sign...

Oh no... that means you're closing in on the twilight zone... I hope to see that swear word in action one day ;3

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
