So, I was using 3 scripts from Galv; diagonal movement, character animations and character frames.
https://galvs-scripts.com/category/rmmv-plugins/mv-audiovisual-effects/#post-1432
It worked, until I found out about Corner passability, and saw that my carefully drawn characters waltzed over other graphics.
Searching for other scripts, I found Victor Engine's diagonal movement and character frames. https://victorenginescripts.wordpress.com/rpg-maker-mv/diagonal-movement/
They work, but they don't work with character animations (In which you have an idle and running animation). I also like that events can now be accessed diagonally too.
I figured out that I can probably have VE's diagonal movement work with Galv's animations and frames,
if they read the spritesheet the same way; now it is like this:
Galv works with: Victor Engine works with
down down and next to it the diagonal moves lower left
left left upper left
right right lower right
up --> and then diagonal moves under it up upper right
lower right
lower left
upper right
upper left
I'm not good at all with JS, so I'm seeking help from someone who can get VE's diagonal movement read from
the spritesheet like Galv's (so, the diagonal movement below the regular movement).
I feel like this is probably not so hard, so I don't really want to bother the makers....
I hope someone can help me out!
