So, you have an idea, and you have a protagonist. The battles are all set up, and the music and maps are amazing. But what about the dialogue?
Dialogue, for me, is extremely important. Not only what they say, but how they say it. Pauses, balloon icons, sound effects, facial expressions...

I have been working on this skill for a pretty long time, both in games and in fiction writing, and I think I'm pretty good at it.

Now, I'm sorry to say that I can't write the dialogue into your game if you are not using VX Ace or MV. I can still send you a text file, but you have to put it in there yourself.

I can make the faces for you, if you are using VX Ace or MV, and if you want me to do that, I just need a picture of a neutral face expression (for all of the characters talking)

Short summary of what I do:

  • I write dialogue (written with pauses, facial expressions, sound effects and balloon icons)
  • I put it into the game, with pauses, facial expressions, sound effects and balloon icons (for VX Ace and MV only)
  • I make characters to fit the dialogue (for VX Ace and MV only, description of faces for others)
  • I also look over dialogue you have already written, putting in pauses, facial expressions, sound effects and balloon icon

Please respect that this takes some time, and that big projects takes long time. I also need to go to school, do my home works and other things, but I will work on this as much as I can :)

If you need help with your dialogue, or want to know more about what I do, feel free to send me a PM, or comment down below!

I work for free, but since I hopefully helped with your game, I would like my name in the credits :)  Doesn't need to be anything big, just a note that I helped with dialogue.

There is a video three posts down, and that is an example of how I make the dialogue a little more convincing. It may be a little hard to see, since I had to film with my phone, but that will hopefully serve as an example. There is also an explanation of how I write the manuscripts, so it will be easy to understand.

If you give me a job, and is happy with the result (or unhappy), please leave some constructive feedback for me and others to see :)

This is just a list of people I'm working with/have been working with, as a sort of waiting list:

@Linky317 (medium part)

@joseeph (very small part, currently on hold)

@ben37940 (medium part)

@Sedna (big part)

@Dumeka (waiting

@Nico Kaneo(waiting)

I DO NOT TAKE NEW JOBS AT THE MOMENT, BUT YOU CAN STILL SEND YOUR REQUEST, AND I'LL PUT YOU THE WAITING LIST! :)

Do you have any examples? You'd probably get more interest if you posted some of your writing.

This is the example video. I wanted to show how I use pauses in sentences, balloon icons and facial expressions to make the scene more convincing. It is of low quality, and it maybe hard to see the faces... sorry for that.

And here is the manuscript explanation.

I wanted to watch your Video but unfortunately the link doesn't work for me. :o

Would be interested to work with you after you got some time and I have progressed more with my Project.

I'm working on it alone so it takes quite some time juggling between Job, Family and it but I'm dedicated and will definately finish it. :)

Will give you more info after you are free again and have some time to work with me in case you are interested (screenshots inclusive of course).

@DumekaAs I only do dialogue, I can have three projects at once I think, because it doesn't take that much time for me to write a scene. The way I work is that you send me an explanation of what the game is about, where it takes place etc, so that I understand what I'm writing for. Then, I just need some character details, about their personality and stuff, and a piece of dialogue that you have already written that I edit/polish to match the characters and setting/story. Or, you can send me a scenario (and the character info), and I write out the entire thing.
This was probably very badly explained, and if you have any questions at all, feel free to send me a pm :)
I am more than willing to help you :)

Also, the example video is up now, I'll include a picture of how I write manuscripts, too, in not too long.

Thanks for putting me on your list. :)

The manuscript looks good.

I didn't finished all areas and all the other stuff yet and I have cut down some parts of my original design cause the project would be otherwise too big and since I have no help with it and mostly little time due to work and private life, I thought it would be a better choice to reduce the amount of areas and split story parts (or rather cut them out).

A new title Screen is at works by a graphic Artist that is also painting me two different game over Screens.

Here a screenie of the current one and a screenie from the world.

Oh wow I made a mistake taking on four full classes at once. Now game dev isn't the only thing that can do this to me:

Oh hey, let me write down a quick explaination how to do something... 1000 words later.
Hey folks, if you post about a problem you're having, and people give you suggestions to fix it, and one of those suggestions works, don't forget to come back and let them know. And it wouldn't hurt to say thanks while you're at it ;)
