Didn't want to buy on Steam. Was forced to anyway

I hope this is in the right forum. I'm very new here. 

Anyway, I tried to buy RMMV through this site at first and it would not let me. It declined it using 4 different cards. Finally I was forced to find other places to purchase the game. I did NOT want to purchase it on Steam because I will be doing a lot of offline work and Steam will not let me open it without an internet connection. (Correct me if there's a way to accomplish this.)

I purchased it on Amazon, being stupid and not paying complete attention I failed to notice that it was a Steam Key until after the purchase. I gave up and entered my key and have now been using it on Steam.

Basically my question is this, I heard that occasionally if asked, the developers have given out keys to people that have already purchased the game on Steam for various reasons. I desperately need this so if it's a possibility, who do I ask?

Your Steam Key for MV also works on offline version.

EDIT: It was indeed. I never use steam and I had no idea about offline mode. Thank you for responding to my dumb question anyway xD

Actually, I think she meant that it works as the activation key for the offline store version.

Try to download the trial MV here:

http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/free-trials/trial-rpg-maker-mv

Then type in the Steam key when prompted to activate after you have installed the product.

At least that's how it was with the keys received from the RMW Main Store.

dave for future referance when you want to buy something from here, most cards wont let you directly enter its information due to the area where the creators(guys your purchasing from) are based is in a bad neighborhood so to speak, and they will think your being scamed and stop the card going thru, but you can use them through a paypal account and get through that little problem

where do i get the steam key? i always wanted to submit a ticket on the rm website but they always ask for product key but i cant seem to find it anywhere from steam.

If you bought from Steam directly, there's no key.

If you have the steam version and need to submit a ticked, either place "steam" in the key field or fill it with zeroes - I don't remember which variant is correct, but one will work and allow you to submit a ticket without a key.

hmm does that mean if i bought direct from steam, i can never have my maker offline? aw

The Steam-RM can work when steam is switched to offline-mode, so you don't need an internet connection - but it cannot run without steam.

steam setting - offline.

It will ask to restart in offline mode or if you start up without a internet connection it will ask if you want to proceed in offline mode, i use XP and MV like this.
