ABS - FRONT VIEW & SIDE VIEW BATTLE SYSTEM

Hey, I was wondering if there is any way to switch between the side-view and front view battle systems while throughout
the story of the game? Possibly a plug-in or event to create this?

Also is there any way to create a plug in that uses an ABS but can also use front and side views as well. I been looking at the ALPHA ABS system however it cancels out the ability to use side and front view battle systems. If there was a plug-in or event to turn that off during story then I could also use front and side views for some battles.

@Paradigm Shift Game Mechanics Design is for looking at aspects of game play at a more conceptual level. "How do I...?" (implementation) questions go in the appropriate Support forum for the engine you are using.

You do not include the engine info under your avatar, nor do you mention it in your post. I am going to assume that your use of the term plugin means that you are using MV. It would be helpful for the future if you could edit your profile page to include that information.

Is there a thread where you can just post anything and not have a ton of rules to follow? I just want a general thread. Where people can post and chat?

The forum is generally not for a chat. It's more focused on one topic, a generally serious one. Like, you can't mix up a topic like "How do I do this?" and "What do you think about this?". It just doesn't work that way. One topic at the time means other participants feel easier to follow than the multiple topic in one thread. But with your recent reply, I'm not sure if you're actually serious to know how to do it or it's just "I'm just curious"

But anyway, you probably want to join a chat group instead if you want to chat about anything. There're some discord channels to join if you have an account.

The section 'General Lounge' is much more open-ended about what topics can be posted there. The only things to keep in mind for that section are things which apply to the whole site i.e. this is a PG13 site, so anything posted has to keep in mind that minors can read it; we do not allow political or religious discussions except where they pertain to the making of games.

But we have rules about where things can be posted because otherwise this would descend into complete chaos, and people would have difficulty finding the subjects that they want help on.

Keep in mind that on the internet, areas that are unmoderated tend to go to $@%^! quickly. I used to be on a forum back in 2004 or so that was not moderated at all (except to remove spam bots), and even a basic thread about game design could end up getting links to porn and worse posted in the middle of it.

So the rules exist for a reason, and that is because the internet has time and again proven that if they aren't there, it will go to pieces faster than you can blink.

Plus being a company owned forum the rules will be stricter for obvious (like legal) reasons.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
