I have created my own sprites using GCH... I am wondering if I need to create different facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, puzzled for each sprite for use when a dialogue is happening? I noticed some games have this and some don't...

That really is up to you. I prefer using different facial expressions but honestly I don't see it as a "must". Since it is your game I would say that you're the one who should decide about that.

Do you mean facial expressions for the actual walking sprites or do you mean for the face images? I rarely see facial expressions for the actual sprites. Emo sets for the faces though are more common.

However, neither are *necessary*. I'd honestly say, if you're going with an emo set for the face images, and they would have to be custom, not to worry about it if you're new to making games. While they can add a nice touch, getting them done - or doing them yourself - can take a lot of effort. I'd say focus more on getting the game done for now. Just my opinion though.

Ahhh yeah, it's okay, takes some time to get all the terminology down used in the RM world (which can even differ from other engines).

But yeah, facesets are nice, if you can, but especially if you're going to have to have them all custom made, I'd not worry about it right now. You could try using the generator to make faces and emosets. Ms Littlefish has a tutorial on how to improve the facesets from the Ace generator.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
