Different Item Effects On Different Characters

So, I Was Wondering, How Could I Make It So Items Had Different Effects On Different Characters? Like In Mother 3, Certain Characters Like Cheese, And Therefore, get healed More From It. Other Characters Don't Like Cheese, And Therefore, Get Healed Less Or About The Normal Amount.


If There Is A Way To Do It With Simple Scripts Or Events, I Can't Find It. Can I Get Any Help?

Please don't type like that.  Apart from being difficult to read, it immediately puts you under suspicion of being a banned member who's created a duplicate account - not the kind of attention you want to draw to yourself.


If you can make it small enough, you could use a series of conditions in the damage formula to determine how much HP to give - it would use b.id or b.actor_id to check the id of the target actor.


Or you can attach a common event to your item and the common event could do all the conditional branches to determine how much HP to give.  This would only be called after damage is calculated though, so in battle it might show a damage popup as 0 but then give HP via your common event.
