Not sure how to label the title.
The game I am planning out,is to be a large, free roaming game.
There will be eight required dungeons (bosses) during the largest
part of the of the game.
They will be scattered throughout the "world"
What I would like to ask: is there a way to script, use variables or
branches, etc.,where the first boss you encounter is the weakest and
the bosses will be stronger in succession, last one being the strongest of the eight.
They will be basically the same boss, only each will have it's own attacks, magic, etc.
Then,I would only have to alter hp.def.mat,etc. for each.
The reason is that there is no way to know which one will be encountered first or last.
I certainly don't want players tackling the strongest, first.
The other idea was to have a player(s)minimum level requirement
for each, although, that would destroy the idea of free movement.
I also thought of keys.
Be given the key for the first dungeon and, then, each dungeon would have a key for the next?
Any ideas?Or,is this idea undoable?
Thanks
