So, I am currently playing around with MV, will probably release a demo in the next 1-2 days (but not here, German game and stuff), but I am having trouble with the current balance. Or to be more precise, I am not really happy with it. At the moment, the game offers 2 pretty short dungeons, but because of the difficulty these dungeons are more like small dungeon crawlers:
Enter the dungeon, explore a bit, go back out, heal up and buy stuff, explore more of the dungeon. You probably have to do this 1-3 times per dungeon, but even with this the overall play time per dungeon is probably only 15-30 minutes. This includes all cutscenes etc. (but no restarts). However, the game is no dungeon crawler, it's a more storydriven game. What do you think, as a player. Would that bother you? Running in and out of a dungeon because of the difficulty, but still being able to complete said dungeon in a relative short amount of time? Since I do like dungeon crawler's like Etrian Odyssey for example, it doesn't bother me that much. Heck, I still think the game is way to easy. But I am pretty sure even with the current difficulty quite a few would find it to hard or annoying.
Sadly, there currently is no script which supports various difficulty settings for MV, else I would just use that and play on the highest. But that aside, what would you think of the above, as a player? Would it annoy you? Would it not bother you? No idea because you would have to play it first?
