Update: I've added a couple .gchli files and sprite examples to the first post!
Great idea. Is there a way to keep track of credit in the GCH?
Awesome sauce! (Thanks)
Just 2cents: Maybe combine the weapons into a single tileset/image for those out there who aren't used to graphic programs. (I know PS well enough but I'm sure a lot don't)
@GrandmaDeb: I don't think so. As far as I can tell, there's no option to add metadata.
@LexnNitro: Good point, though they'll still need to add my image to their iconset (assuming they don't want to remove their potions, armor, etc.) so they'll need to use PS or GIMP or whatever regardless. A consolidated image is a good idea, I'll do that.
What do you recommend? Should people use your mask without credit, or keep a notepad file reminding them to credit Dirge if they use the mask?
Those generators are tough cookies! We ran into this with the windowskin generators, as well.
Hmm. I personally just keep a file with each project with a list of who should get credit for what. But I don't particularly mind if I don't get credited for .gchli files - at the end of the day, I'm putting them up here so people can use them.
EDIT: Amended the first post to reflect that.
Hey can I use this for a game that i'm making?
Update! Added the Bones pack! It's only half the size, but twice the awesomeness, so there's that. Plus, y'all got a double-sized update last time.
EDIT: @hungrycheese: Yup, go right ahead. If you need anything else, let me know. I'm willing to try and fill requests, too.
Wonderful new icons and I really like the new bones pack. The color palette used here is really nice. ^^
Thank you, Miss Nile!
It took a lot (A LOT) of fiddling to get it how I wanted it. I was much more picky with my palette for the bone stuff than I usually am.
Thank you so much. I will put you in the credits, and btw it's going to be a commercial game.
Update: Added a white kimono GCH item!
Very awesome weaponry. I'm trying to make my own, but failing horribly at it, lol. Any tutorials that helped you along the way, or are you just talented enought to bang out those beauties all on your own?
Also: if I wish to use them commercially (as you said we could) how would you want to be credited?
Just "Dirge" is fine. I kinda just sat down and messed about with them until I figured out what I was doing. Trial and error, with a heap of extra "error" on top. I'll put together a quick "getting started" tutorial.
Oh that would be great! I'll keep my eye open for whenever you are able to do that! Keep up the awesome work!
It's been awhile - I'm still hard at work, but I'm spending my time doing pixel art for a game (Hall of Nerd's "Isabella"). I'll put up some more icons and stuff eventually, my effort is currently directed at that project for the time being. If anyone has anything specific they need, drop me a message and I'll see what I can do.
*Cries because the Kimono is exactly what I need*
You did such an amazing job on these! Thank you!
i can use these icons for commercial use if i credit you on my credits correct?! =D does that include the SFX on here?
@MelodyZE Hah, I hadn't been on this forum in a looooooooong time, but I'm back now! Yep, everything I put up on here is free to use commercially as long as I'm credited!
I'll probably start adding more stuff - I picked up MV and have been working on a ton of art for my game on there, so I'll probably start releasing various stuff formatted for MV in the relatively near future. As well as a ton more SFX.
