Disable leaving vehicle

How do I disable the ability to leave a vehicle by pressing a key/clicking? I want to make it so the player can only get on and off vehicles when transitioning from map to map.

how should that work?

Most likely you would have to request a plugin to replace all vehicle functions, but that would depend on what you want them to replace with. And changing vehicle status on mapchange doesn't make sense for a normal vehicle using ocean/ship.

It might be easier to just make a display change instead of a vehicle change, but to judge that you need to tell us how you want this to work ingame.

I have the same problem.
I want my char can only on/off from the vehicle on specific location (e.g. dock)

and cannot land somewhere else on the maps beside the dock.

And maybe, to make everytime I want to ride the vehicle, i have to pay to the guard first.

First you said that you only want to leave the vehicle on changing maps - which is a problem in itself and would require a much better description
And now you said that the player should not be able to leave the vehicle while a button is pressed? So if the player stops pressing the button he should be able to leave again?

Your descriptions make absolutely no sense, and no one can help you with such short and irregular sentences.

Please describe what you want to happen in details and in ingame terms - and ate least several sentences instead of abbreviated hints.

Okay... when the player is in a vehicle, I do not want them to exit said vehicle after clicking/pressing the button. I only want the player to exit the vehicle when an event specifically calls for it.

I'm using the boat/land vehicle plugin. The interactions with the map should be random encounters/touch events/push button events (i.e. triggering dialogue with characters/inspecting objects).

THAT is an info that you should have posted at first, together with a link to the plugin.
Because in default with ship and airship only there aren't many interactions to events at all.
And your problem can't be solved at all because you can't use any regular plugin, you'll need a solution that is compatible to that specific plugin.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
