I've found a plugin for MZ and a script for Ace, but have been unable to find something for MV. (Sorry if it already exists and I just missed it...:oswt2:)

I'm looking for a way to prevent the Screen Tint from affecting battles. I know I can clear the tint in the Troops event page, but I can't restore it after the battle. And creating a parallel event to retint the screen every time is not (proving to be) ideal...

Please, could this be made?

Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm mostly talking about random encounters. Also my maker version is 1.5.1.

Well, it's a bit of a workaround but you could.

Use Himeworks' End Phase Triggers plugin to be able to run an event after battles end. Then make a Turn 0 event that disables tint and stores any relevant information, then a troop event that looks for stored info and restores it. Yanfly's Base Troop Events lets you make those events apply to every troop.

Did you try using the plugin you linked to? It was designed for MZ but it's really small and the couple of functions in there look like they're the same as MV. It might simply work.

I use my lighting plugin to tint my screens. Doesn't affect battles whatsoever. (Using MV NovaLighting)

I did try the MZ plugin but nothing happens. Maybe It's my MV version (1.5.1) (forgot to mention)...

The Himeworks plugin kinda works but it activates the tint before the battle ends (before the result window/messages). Also it can't trigger the screen tint if you escape the battle. :( Same with Yanfly's.

Regardless of what else you do, you should update to the current version of MV. Not only will it fix things in the engine's code, but you'll have issues getting plugins working because anything from the past few years will be designed for 1.6.

The odd thing is, when I tested it, the plugin actually did work, but the tint when you start battle is not the same as when you're on the map. So the values that the plugin give are lighter than it would be otherwise, but not as bright as it should normally be.

I'll try to take another poke at it later, but if anyone else has an obvious solution in the interim, the basics of the plugin work fine in MV.

Ooops ended up trying out making my own A2 tile page instead of testing doors everywhere. Went well so far I think.
I guess I'm done making a blue squirrel's life difficult for posting new threads on different forums.
That's just for today so don't get used to this, squirrel-ish friend! :p
Got new hard drive, now trying to install the softwares I lost to the dead drive, and more than half of them won't install because they're already installed on the dead drive, and uninstallers won't run because they can't find where their programs are installed. So I take it having a drive die on you screws you in more ways than just data loss. >:\
PC got fixed finally. Back online again. Turns out I have no business trying to self repair pcs because it was getting to like 176F / 80C. Shop installed a totally new cooling system and now it runs fine and is super quiet.
When you're making major progress, but have to stop to go to work.
