What I am trying to do is rather simple but I can not seem to find the option to do it.   I am creating a faction system in my game.   I want the main character to talk to an NPC and display how much factions poinsts yout have accumulated. Is it possible to display the integer value stored in the variable?

\v[n] in a Show Text command will display the value in variable n.

You can click on Show Text then hover your mouse over the text entry area, to see a list of the codes you can use in a Show Text command.

That doesn't seem to work.   Here is my code snippet

Your current faction points is \v[HAX] outof 5 needed to get to the next faction rank. All it displays is the variable name HAX,  not the value in HAX.  I've tried adding different amounts inside of it but to no success.

No, that is NOT the way the help file or the hint tells you to do it.

You need to use the NUMBER of the variable where the value is stored, like \V[13] if the value is stored in variable number 13

Siolenas, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Yeah, you were double posting.

Double posting = posting twice in a row, with no-one else posting in between. If you need to do that, then edit your last post instead. If it's been more than 72 hours (3 days) since your last post, THEN you can double post (bump).

Did you try it with the number? And it worked?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
