Display Text Picks up actor's face.png?

Hey Guys!

Is there a way to make a function where when you display text under one of you events, that it auto pick-up your actors face image with in your party instead of individually selecting the image for each text input? Is possible to make a js script for this or make it where it picks up the party leader's face in text input instead if user selects a certain option to do so. Want to do this so that no matter what person you play throughout the story line, they stick to the script without worrying if the face image is wrong or anything because the player likes a different character.

Please help me JS coder's this would be a cool plugin to have. :)

If I'm understanding what you want correctly, wouldn't you be able to do this with Yanfly's message core, using the Party effect codes and choosing the first party member?

I think he means a specific actor each time so like you put a comment with "Actor1-1" on it and all the show texts in that event change it's face to file "Actor1.png" and the face number 1!

The More Escape Codes plugin that's shipped with the engine will do this.

EDIT: Nevermind I think i misunderstood haha
This plugin would do the trick: you would just tell the game to figure out which face to show. So you could, for example, tell the game to show the face of actor 1, and the game will determine what face actor 1 is using.


There are many other ways to do it, like using message codes to tell the game which face to show. Same idea: tell the game to show actor 1's face.


Message codes are easier to use in situations where you need the face to change frequently in the same message, but you don't want to break it up into different messages. However if you just need to display a single face for the entire message, I find it easier to just select a face.
