Display Traits in Equip Window

So we can add all kinds of interesting Traits to our items, like elemental attacks, poison damage and whatnot, but I fail to get the Equip or Items windows to display these abilities, and I'm not even talking about taking them into account when displaying the damage that would be dealt (etc.). This makes it quite difficult for players to assess the actual powers of their weapons.

Is there any way to do this apart from the rather inelegant solution of putting it as raw text into the description window? My forums searches were rather unsuccessful.

(Also, how is this even a question?)

If you use YEP_ItemCore, items (and weapons and armors) have a description window in addition to the normal help text window which you can put all kinds of things into. The window is viewable in the item scene as well as the equip scene if you also have YEP_EquipCore. Both of these plugins are available for free as well.

Admittedly, you still have to manually type note tags on every item to set what is shown in this window, and if you use other plugins like Attachable Augments, some of the space in that window is already used for that one, but there is only so much room on these menus anyway.

I have the Yanfly plugins installed - as I said, there is the option of using the description window. I just think it's extremely inelegant to have parameter changes and trait changes in two different windows. But I get that right, there is no option to have the text from the red arrow appear in the space of the green arrow? It's not like there isn't any space left. I'd rather use the description window for an actual description.

The top window in your screenshot is the help window. The bottom right window you're pointing to is the description window. There are note tags in YEP_ItemCore to write text in that bottom window directly. I believe you scroll from the parameter display to the description window by pressing left or right when an item is selected.

The tag for this is <Info Text Top> and <Info Text Bottom>

@ramza Thanks a lot, I got it now - I was aware of the note tags, but for some reason was unable to get them to work. What I hadn't realized was that the description window actually has three screens you can scroll through with the arrow keys. Now things make more sense. Again, thanks for your patience.

@slimmmeiske2 - erm, how is this a plugin request? I was seriously hoping that I just hadn't grasped a basic functionality of RPG Maker MV. I still don't get why by default there are numerous options for Traits, but it takes a 3rd party plugin to display them to the player.

Doesn't matter for now, question is solved.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
