    I mean, normally the best way to make something distorted sounding is to reverse it, or add other strange effects to it, so if the terms of use let you, you can always take a regular chiptune track and play around in a music editing software.

    that sounds like a possibility, yes! however i'm not experienced with any real audio editing programs(i'm more of a visual person myself) and i'm looking more for specific tunes for this genre instead of trying my hand at something i'm inexperienced with. and composers too ofc.
