DLC not working

The DLC i preordered, do I have to put the contents in manually? or am i doing something wrong? I need to know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! :

You will need to copy them from the dlc folder in the steam applications folder into your project or use. They are not added by default to every project because it would make unreasonable project sizes to do so.
